- Q. What is Selection Process for ISRO Scientist-Engineer SC recruitment?
- Ans. The qualification prescribed is the MINIMUM requirement and the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for Interview. Shortlisting of the candidates for Interview in the ratio of 1:7 shall be based on the GATE scores awarded and not on GATE marks or GATE Rank. The candidates will be assessed based on the following attributes, viz. Technical (Academic) knowledge [40 marks], General Awareness in relevance to the area of Specialisation (technical) [20 marks]; Presentation/Communication Skill [20 marks]; Comprehension [10 marks] and Academic achievements [10 marks], totaling to 100 marks. Candidates will have to score minimum 60 marks in the Interview and PWBD candidates will have to score minimum 50 marks in the Interview. For generation of the final panel, 50% weight age will be given to GATE scores and 50% weight age to Interview marks.
- Q. What are the Pay and allowances for ISRO Scientist-Engineer SC ?

Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Level 10 of Pay Matrix and will be paid minimum basic pay of Rs.56,100/- p.m. In addition, Dearness Allowance [DA], House Rent Allowance [HRA] and Transport Allowance are payable as per extant rules on the subject. The employees will be governed by the New Pension Scheme/Unified Pension Scheme. Further, medical facilities for self and dependents, subsidised canteen, limited quarters facility (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, House Building Advance etc are admissible as per Central Government orders.
